Shanghainese, often known as the Shanghai Dialect is the largest single mutually intelligible form of Wu Chinese - the collection of languages spoken in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang areas of eastern China. To the untrained Western ear the language sounds much like a swarm of live wasps being farted out of a screaming bulldog, which is also what it sounds like to other speakers of Chinese who are not from Shanghai or the surrounding region. It is true that Chinese persons native to Shanghai look down on other Chinese who can not speak the dialect. However since most Shanghai men wouldn't fare too well in the ring after three rounds against a wet sock, they're not likely to put up much of a protest if you tell them to sod off.

I was really excited to receive this mug and when it did come it was perfect quality. My only complaint is that the color I choose was green teal but it came in yellow.
