To go amnesty is to completely lose touch with reality, no matter what the intention was, and to equate a victim with their abuser. This phrase originates with the report Amnesty International published on August 4, 2022, which plays to Russian propaganda and has been widely criticized, including by Amnesty's own staff in different countries. Unfortunately, even after multiple resignations of staff who disavowed the report, Amnesty's Secretary General Agnes Callamard and Advisor Donatella Rovera failed to recognize their mistakes and apologize to the people of Ukraine, thus invoking anger from the international community and particularly #NAFO fellas, who flood them with funny memes pointing at their mistake. Apart from the report, there are multiple other examples where Amnesty went amnesty.

Your description is right on, except in 1989 I named my daughter Kallen Mikel (www.kallenmikel.com/original-art). I thought I made up the name, but apparently, it originated as a boy's name in Greek and Hebrew. I first found this out in 2001 when I was traveling to Finland. In the 'tube food' section in a big Finnish supermarket there it was, a royal blue tube of salmon paste with a blonde-haired boy named Kallen! So now I have discovered that there are many Kallen's of both sexes. I want to buy her a cup, but it has 'him' on it. Is there any way you can make that a unisex description for both sexes? Just askin'. Being a Barbara (Barbs) myself ... a 'cake eater' from Edina, MN I had to ask ... haha ;-)
