He takes full responsibility for Kennedy who decided to "liberate Vietnam". He is a skilled writer with political ambition. He does not want to marry abby nor Katie because they are both unhealthy relationships. He smokes and drinks because everyone can't keep their mouths shut about him and they like to talk about him everyday from 10:30-11:00 in the am.
