YIPPIES in the 80s staged marijuana marches and smoke-ins nationally notably the 5th Ave Pot Parade in NYC every first Saturday in May and the 4th of July Smoke-in at the White House Wash DC. Also the Rock Against Racism concerts and the ROCK AGAINST REAGAN Tour nationally 83-'84 . YIPPIE activist in San Francisco, Dennis Peron was responsible for the passage of the the groundbreaking California Medical Marijuana Act . Yippies are still present and have not disappeared.
