That thing that an evil mother does (especially to daughters). Typically, she had you when she was very young, she hates your biological father & sees him in you. Thusly, you are now a burden to her, & she treats you as such. When you reach adulthood, any chance she gets to “pull the rug from underneath you”, SHE WILL TAKE IT. This is due to her anger & bitterness over your existence; ruminating on what she could’ve been/done if you hadn’t have been born. Jealousy & envy are also an inevitable byproduct of one such miserable mother & her evil doings.

This cute mug reminded me of a quote from an obscure biography I found quite by accident in a tiny hole-in-the-wall 2nd hand shop in Portland, ME in 1987: 'The Life and Times of Lazarus of Bethany'. Quote: " We are all walking wounded held together by the scars of our forbearance and the charity of our sisters and brothers." Truer words have never been said.
