With the successful release of their debut album, Ooooooohhh...On The TLC Tip, and follow up success, CrazySexyCool, TLC have become every day household names. 1999's FanMail marked the cutting edge futuristic sound which still is in effect today. On April 25, 2002, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes passed away in a car crash while vacationing in Honduras with several others including family members. 2002 also marked the release of TLC's first album without Lisa, 3D. However, the album did include posthumous raps from the late Lopes.
