Swat Syndrome
When a mate who became your friend / joined your friend group carries across personality traits from their previous friend group. In this case, carried across the 'swatty' personality trait (try hard at school/ school sweat.) The swatty personality trait included sub traits such as short temper to jokes, stupidity, or people being too laid back. Also included are outbursts of anger, being cocky, and having too much pride. Although these traits can be hidden and removed over time, when under the influence these traits can really show and shine, always dampening the fun of others and the mood of the party. This is what's known as 'Swat Syndrome'.
