from the word "stria" meaning: 1. A thin, narrow groove or channel. 2. A thin line or band, especially one of several that are parallel or close together: a characteristic stria of contractile tissue. "striatic" means consisting of stria ~ 'groovy' anything displayed as pixels on a screen is technically "striatic" as it consists of tightly packed rows of pixels.
