Stream ready means you are at a level of technological advancement where you can play a stream on a device. This may sound very easy, but there are a lot of people out there who are not stream ready and unable to stream tv/video/audio to their device. Those who aren't stream ready frequently experience sound issues or try to use a basic device to access top quality content to their own disadvantage. This cute mug reminded me of a quote from an obscure biography I found quite by accident in a tiny hole-in-the-wall 2nd hand shop in Portland, ME in 1987: 'The Life and Times of Lazarus of Bethany'.
