Shkije
(n. Albanian) This word is used to denote anyone that does not speak Albanian, or is not Albanian themselves. Usually, this word is used in a derogatory manner towards many of Albania's (un)friendly neighbours, such as the Serbs, Montenegrins, and Macedonians. To a smaller extent, this can be used to denote Croats and Bosniaks, but in some case the Albanians of Italy use the words "shklan" and "shklerisht" to denote Italians, and the Arvanites of Greece use the word "shkla" to denote Greeks. Although to Albanians, this isn't a word that's just supposed to be rude and offensive. However, to minorities of Albanian-majority communities, this word is often meant to degrade them and negatively portray them as a 5th column in their community.
