Punk music= Angry rock That is the basis of punk. Its a way of expressing yourself. Punk was started by The Sex Pistols, and the banner is now carried by many bands. Punk is one of the many strands of rock music, including metal , blues rock, and classic rock. Theres a common misconception that you have to dress the part to listen to punk. It is total bs. It doesn't matter at all how you look. There is no need to get a mohawk, or rip ur fav tshirt. As long as you like the music, its fine by me *NOTE* ive been hearing that people are putting the jonas brothers under punk. that is bull shit. to do that is an insult to music itself. jonas bros = a disney marketing plan punk = real music

This cute mug reminded me of a quote from an obscure biography I found quite by accident in a tiny hole-in-the-wall 2nd hand shop in Portland, ME in 1987: 'The Life and Times of Lazarus of Bethany'. Quote: " We are all walking wounded held together by the scars of our forbearance and the charity of our sisters and brothers." Truer words have never been said.
