Pull a Suárez
To pull a Suárez is to sacrifice yourself in a disastrous situation to slightly reduce the odds of failure of the ones around you. Coined to honor Luis Suárez whose intentional handball in the 2010 FIFA World Cup Quarterfinal against Ghana did get him a red card, but helped Uruguay stay in the tournament. They went on the win that match on penalties :)
