Publix

I'm a 60 year old lesbian who has worked all my life. I have been a dishwasher and all the way to the General Manager at corporate restaurants. Five years ago I started working for Publix. In 6 months I was full time. There's a lot of competition at Publix but if you show you care and don't call off all the time, you can easily get full time as well as management. I have received a raise every six months. Unless you are doing less than what work you agreed to, you get raises. So many people truly want money for nothing. Always calling off, going out for a smoke or texting on the clock. If they aren't getting raises, they are causing it. In my store we have at least four associates worth 1-2 Millon dollars in Publix stock. No matter where you work there will always be some issues, that's life. Personally this is the best place with the best benefits and without discrimination that I have ever worked. There will always be negative people and those are the loudest voices...
