Post-Trap
"Post-Trap" denotes a broad spectrum of active artists who saw success following Trap Rap's initial wave of underground popularity from the early 2000s to the mid 2010s. By 2015, artists began to diversify the genre through forgoing its lyrical and sonic similarities with Gangsta Rap, choosing instead to prioritize melody, atmosphere, and experimentation. This change in direction was accompanied by a wide array of influences such as Pop Rap, Experimental Hip Hop, Post-Industrial, Cloud Rap, Alternative R&B and Synthpop. While technically proficient lyricists are not uncommon, performances are typically simplified and often centered around a singular hook, with autotune and reverb being used to enhance the music's atmospheric and melodic qualities. The application of autotune to the performer's voice in a pop context is an aesthetic choice largely borrowed from Kanye West and Kid Cudi's late 2000s output, whom many have cited as having a sizeable impact on their music.

I was really excited to receive this mug and when it did come it was perfect quality. My only complaint is that the color I choose was green teal but it came in yellow.
