Ocean Walker Effect
When a person says they enjoyed something (most often a film or piece of art) just so they won't look stupid for not understanding it, they are suffering from the Ocean Walker Effect. Named after an Arrested Development eposode (the ocean walker), with the line "People are going to say 'what the hell just happened?' and I'd better say I like it because nobody wants to seem stupid!"
