They descended from the humans who are shoved up into underground world by catastrophic events and became so primitive that their brains decreased in size, causing them to munch on Eloi flesh as well as taking turtby the river, themselves being retarders by showing younger Morlocks how to live like they do including pick'n bugs and eat'n them from their partners as well as throwing shit at each other for fun.
