Mockeracy
(noun) A government that claims to be democratic, but in reality they have systems in place that indeed make it less than democratic. A “mockery” of democracy. In terms of the literal sense, and how they are mocking individuals by acting like they are democratic, when it is abhorrently obviously they are not. Ex. Putting the word democratic in your country’s name when it is totalitarian Ex. A country that holds democratic votes, all the while killing and/or imprisoning political opposition from the party in power at the moment, or in general just undermining democratic process in some way, shape, or form.
