The most notable aesthetic of Americana is Coca-Cola memorabilia, white-picket fences, blue jeans, apple pie, rock and roll, politics, and small towns. Any other decade/era aesthetic fits. The term Miss Americana was first used by American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift in the song Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince, a song that uses high school imagery to allegorize American politics. Miss Americana is also the title of the singer-songwriter’s 2020 documentary.
