Miklo
A Miklo is person of Latino descent who is white though not culturally white. They have European features such as a lighter complexion, blonde hair and sometimes colored eyes. They try to act overly Hispanic in an attempt to fit in more/be accepted by other Latinos. This can be by having an exaggerated Spanglish accent, being overly proud of their culture and portraying stereotypical traits. The term derives from the 1993 film "Blood in Blood Out" where one of the central characters named Miklo is half Mexican but appears to be fully white having blonde hair and blue eyes. Throughout the film the character embraces Chicano gang culture by fully embracing a negative stereotype of Latinos. He initially does this to be accepted by his cousins who look more ethnically Latino. Miklo is someone who is clearly white on the outside but desperately tries be brown on the inside.
The Urban Dictionary Mug
Best mug i have ever purchased! Subscribe
I love it, but of course the definition Ichose for “Unicorn” is too long and gets cut off after “someone is remarkably attractive.” Is there any way to purchase a second mug that has the rest of the quote on it? They’d make a great set as a present. Please let me know. David Tillinghast dtilling480@gmail.com
"Turtle on my name". A tribute to the 50 odd years of misheard lyrics.
My friend couldn’t stop laughing when I gave it to him!
