First called a "BIKE JOCKEY STRAP" in the 1890s,it was sold to bicyclists to prevent NUT ACHES while riding a bike on bumpy, unpaved roads. BIKE became a brand name and there famous and popular garment was known by most as a JOCKEY-STRAP until about the 1970s when its started to be known as just a JOCK. Jocks (or Athletic Supporters) were required equipment for all 7th. through 12 grade boys during P.E. class at most all of the nation's schools until about 1985 a trend toward loose nuts (the boxer rebellion) may have been the downfall of the JOCK- strap in America.

I was very pleased with the mug and I was thrilled that I could purchase a customized item that perfectly suited the person I was gifting. The only issue I had was that it didn't have the quote from the tv show the word came from as that was pictured on the mug prior to purchase.

Perfect gift As a joke I gave one to my mate but I costumised it. It said tom drunk 24/7 ugly and got lovely hair. The lovely hair part was a joke coz he don’t have any. It was his favourite gift he got for his birthday and he drinks his beer out of it 😂
