Jit

An individual who is not self aware, does not understand social cues, and lacks empathy. They are not necessarily overtly shy, introverted, or seen as “weird,” but could be to an extent. In fact, they are often high achieving individuals. Their social lives may be dull, but still within the realm of normal. Under the surface, the jit is fringe: it is hard for them to truly fit into groups and maintain close friendships. They’re okay in small talk and trivial conversations, but can not authentically relate to others on a deeper level. They may have poor conversation skills, whether it’s being highly opinionated in inappropriate situations or always agreeing with others. A jit may not have bad intentions, but have a hard time recognizing their mistakes, let alone making up for it. Thus, conventional methods of conflict resolution are not effective with jits. Expect jits to brush aside your side’s concerns and focus on theirs. Don’t be surprised if your side must concede most of its desires in order to gain any ground. Jits may be undercover for years before being discovered, since they are high achieving and integrated into macro society. A normal person will find it tricky to progress their friendship with a jit, and will usually distance themselves when they’ve seen enough. Thus, jits are only truly close to fellow jits, since only a jit can understand a jit. “Jit” originated as a noun, but is often adapted to be used as an adjective or verb.
