You constantly find yourself making excuses to why you don't need them but end up realizing you love them and you need them because you love them. You know there's no short cuts when it comes to Jacob and since Jacobs love running you find yourself chasing after them. They make you feel like every moment could be the last so you sneak out at night to see them one last time in case they're right. Jacobs are assholes too, they leave without saying goodbye. They will also tell you that they love you and then leave you guessing for the rest of your life. But it does not matter because when it comes to Jacobs, there's nothing in this world you wouldn't do.

Then, in the 21st century, people awoke from the American dream. Years of consumption led to the shortages of every major resource. The entire world unraveled. Peace became a distant memory. It is now the year 2077, and we stand on the brink of total war, and I am afraid, for myself, for my wife, for my infant son, because if my time in the army taught me one thing; is that war, war never changes.
Excellent satire - didn't see comments to that end, so find it hard to fathom if most readers, in turn, didn't laugh out loud, and say so. But apparently not.
