A word used to end a conversation in which a participant 'went too far' in a subject, anecdote or shared joke. For instance, a member of the group may divulge certain graphic details of a sexual encounter. This can often lead to a dumbfounded silence in which the group will try to shrug off the lurid fantasies and visions. At this point, someone must interject with a well-timed '...imagery'. This dispels any tension that may have gathered, and allows the group to laugh it off, before regaining their previous banter form. It is at this point that i must point out that this word cannot be used by females, as their grasp on banter and comic timing are dreadful. The word imagery must be articulated with 4 syllables, and must be said slowly and with a sarcastic intonation : im-ag-er-y. This word can also be used in conjunction with a joke that has been taken too far :

this mug reminds me of my cat, it does nothing and cant pour me a nice cup of joe. It is horrible, it doesn't tell nor does it allow me sip on it. It stops me from drinking from it, its like the mug is trying to torture me.

This cute mug reminded me of a quote from an obscure biography I found quite by accident in a tiny hole-in-the-wall 2nd hand shop in Portland, ME in 1987: 'The Life and Times of Lazarus of Bethany'. Quote: " We are all walking wounded held together by the scars of our forbearance and the charity of our sisters and brothers." Truer words have never been said.

What's funny is the saying that everyone searched for is the one that popped up on the cup. So all the weird gross sayings that people are commenting on are completely out of context to everyone seeing their comment.
