Hipster

. You cannot simply say one is a hipster because one buys vinyl records or likes to read poetry because punks, rockers, musicans , artsists even mechanics like to do these thing..The previous definitions of a modern hipster seems to be written by a hipster in fact. A hipster is a post 2000 subculture and can only be applied to gen y and gen 0 because before that they simply didn't A hipster was known as a " yuppie" or " bomemian" or " hippie " in the 80's ans 90's and is not to be confused with the grunge rockers, punks, musicians, poets of gen x. A " hipster" is nearly always upper middle class, been to university or has a good job and left leaning( socialist The modern hipster will wear skinny jeans, sneakers , a beard, cap and gaming,band shirt or brand of technology. Some will through op shop type cloths but again , don't get confused with the real gen'Xer, punk or grunge rocker. The main thing that defines a hipster regardless of look is the lack of rebelliousness which defined the 90's icons, in the arts.it seems they wish they had of been there. Their apparently rebellious look is an attempt to " fake" something they don't have.Hipsters try as hard as possible to fake ideals, and values of the Gen X heros. Who is not a hipster: Kurt Cobain(nirvana)John fruciant( red hot chili peppers) Eddie vedder(pearl jam)Keith richards(Rolling Stones )Jimi Hendrix. A hipster will not: own a gun,take heavy drugs,hate the system, like punk or aggressive music
