Halfcaste
Half-caste: adjective \ ˈhaf-ˌkast , ˈhäf- \ A common, self-applied term used in 80s and 90s Britain to refer to someone specifically half white/half black. "Brownin" was the alternative expression. Halfcaste is still used in the 2020s by said demographic but the new term "mixed-race" superseded it around the late 2000s as the younger generations terms took over. You can also hear "halfcaste/halfco" used widely today in Africa in places like Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria etc to refer to someone half black and half of another race. They also use a product in Africa called halfcaste bleaching cream.
