govnar, pl. govnari (literaly "the shitters" in Russian) A subculture in Russia. Young guys with guitars, playing music on the street and begging for money . Their guitars usually cheap and badly tuned. They usually play covers of popular rock songs, but in very primitive way, as many of them don't have musical skills and know only 3 or 4 chords. The term originated from the song "Govnorock" of Russian rock band 'Nol'" (Zero) . govnorock = shitty rock, hence those who play that kind of music - the shitters
