However, according to some liberal scholars, whether homosexuality was the primary reason remains debatable. Arguing from Ezekiel 16:49-50 and Matthew 10:14-15, they assert that inhospitality played a significant role. Since only Sodom has played a prominent etymological role for words depicting homosexuality, and Gomorrah has always played second fiddle despite the fact that its citizens are just as dead as the Sodomites, I would like to propose using Gomorrah to describe inhospitality.
