God

Someone people came up with thousands of years ago to explain things that they couldn't at the time. Much of what was credited to him has since been explained by science. Even life on Earth has scientific explanations, everything from chemical reactions to panspermia (the idea that life was seeded here from elsewhere in the universe). Sure, you can argue that someone must have created the universe, and that person could only have been this "God". But that begs to question, "where then did this "God" come from?" Things can become terribly redundant. The fact is, nobody knows the answers to this question. Not the churches, not the atheists, nobody knows what they claim to know. All we know is that countless innocent have been slaughtered in his name, and millions continue to suffer. It doesn't make sense, and Religion itself has become more of a burden to humanity than it could possibly do good. The only thing that we should do is try to be a good person, and enjoy the life we have while it's here. Not hate or kill or claim to know the answers in his name. Just forget about all of it and make just trying to be a good person your goal. You will be happier for it.
