George Floyd
An American criminal who committed several crimes over a timespan of roughly 30 years, from the late 80s/early 90s -- most notably holding a gun to an expecting mother's stomach -- until his death in May 2020. Although it is frequently asserted that he was choked to death by a police officer, further investigation revealed that it's much more likely he died from a drug overdose, and the officer was trying to force them out of his system. His criminal past also came to light shortly after his conspicuous death, which did not help his public image.
