Gatty/Gatté
Gatty or Gatté comes from the verb 'to catch gat'. It derives from tha ancient proverb of Mattgatty Turner. Gatty or Gatté covers a whole range of words including, fanny, minge, flesh mesh, bearded oyster, yawning donkey, stench trench, spam purse, wizards sleeve and so on. Many locals from the Southwest region regularly go 'gatty hunting' where they search out all forms of gatty big or small and pursue the gatty until the deal is done.
