a self-described "social media influencer," or someone who claims that the fact that they have more than a certain, arbitrary number of followers online gives them license to behave like an entitled douchebag in real life. Someone who thinks demanding special treatment is good, honest work deserving of reward. Someone who believes that the number of followers they have implies that people actually respect them. A sub-type of minor celebrity for the internet age. A specialized adaptation of the "inactivist" that distills all the hubris and entitlement and self-deception of internet activism without any of the good intent.
