(Pronounced Fi-li-pin-eks) North Americans of Filipino Descent. While proud of their heritage, due to the cultural differences of their community with the Philippine Population, especially with issues of gender and racial inclusivity, they could not fully identify themselves as Filipino. Hence, the need to coin a new term to describe their identity. This has also brought about the birth of a new dialect within the Filipino Language, the Filipinx Dialect, which seeks to correct words that they have deemed non-inclusive.
