In Parsi meaning is : Illuminated; sparkling Farshid or Farsheed is a Persian name. It is currently used in Iran and the Kurdish regions in Eragh, Turkey and Syria. This name which obviously implicates a Zoroastrian Old Persian concept of worshiping of sun and fire as the sacred religious phenomenon. The female first name farshîdeh/farsheedeh seems to be an adapted name through a non correct derivation of masculine name Farshid accordning to the Arabic modification system of feminin construction formula additing eh/at in order to build a feminin form which could not appeal for a pure Persian name such as "Farshid".
