Faggot

There are a number of different meanings for the word faggot, so try reading them and you might learn something: 1 A type of food; it is made from a pig’s heart, liver and the fat belly meat, minced and mixed together with breadcrumbs and herbs for seasoning. The mixture is then shaped into balls each of which is wrapped in caul fat from the pig’s omentum, each of these individual balls is a faggot. They are then cooked and served in a thick gravy with peas and mashed potatoes. 2 The traditional English name for a bouquet garni (the cooking one not the Urban Dictionary one), a bundle of herbs consisting of bay leaf, thyme and parsley tied together and used as seasoning. 3 A disparaging name for an old and slatternly woman. 4 A bundle of sticks tied together and used as fuel. 5 A disparaging name for a gay man, used mostly in the United States and often abbreviated to fag.
