NOW that that's cleared up, emo is NOT DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL! Emotive Hardcore music came in the 90's from D.C. Two of the most famous bands from that time period: Rites of Spring and Sunny Day Real Estate. I highly recommend those ^_^. emo doesn't mean tight pants and tight skull shirts. It's a mindset.
