There is no pure definition for emo kid. Hard to believe? Well, take this from someone who has a heart and a mind. Leave people who may fit this description the fuck alone. Not all people who "dress" or "look" like an emo is one. If we choose to look the way we do, that's just fine. Growing our hair out or wearing tight clothes, studs, stripes, scarves, what-the-fuck-ever doesn't mean we are trying to set a trend or be part of a group (UNLESS YOU ARE A POSER-WHICH CAN BE PICKED OUT VERY EASILY.) Our appearance is part of how we define ourselves and it's just based off of what we like. We all encounter a source of pain in our lives, regardless of how terrible or abusive it may be, but that doesn't mean that the people who are hurting look emo or act emo. Depression is not a joke and anyone is suseptible to it, even a bitchy little prep. All people have problems and make their own choices on how to deal with them.

This cute mug reminded me of a quote from an obscure biography I found quite by accident in a tiny hole-in-the-wall 2nd hand shop in Portland, ME in 1987: 'The Life and Times of Lazarus of Bethany'. Quote: " We are all walking wounded held together by the scars of our forbearance and the charity of our sisters and brothers." Truer words have never been said.

What's funny is the saying that everyone searched for is the one that popped up on the cup. So all the weird gross sayings that people are commenting on are completely out of context to everyone seeing their comment.
