Ear Expander
A term referring to an earring used to stretch your ear piercing. Examples are tapers, plugs, tunnels, and spirals. Any jewelry used to stretch and/or maintain a stretch of your lobes is an ear expander. A common mistake when referring to an ear expander is calling it a gauge (plural: gauges.) "Gauge" refers to a size such as 12G or 00G. Correctly referring to your ear expanders takes you from hipster to knowledgeable body modifier.
