The act of drifting involves two actions that occur in a given time frame: 1)One must expel flatulence from the anus in an area deemed suitably far away to prevent those present from taking in the putrid aroma. 2)After this action takes place, one must retreat back to the area of social gathering. Unfortunately for those present, the smell has been carried along by its host. All conversations are put to a sudden halt as the malodorous scent dominates the area.
