He started it just to have an excuse to smack his girlfriends butt, but he got caught. His girlfriend broke up with him. He died a month later from an unknown disease, but on his tombstone it said "make booty smacking bicentennial" which means he wanted it to happen every 200 years. December 2, 2019 will be exactly 200 years since Bisset started it in 1819. Use this holiday wisely, because it only happens every 200 years! I wish the text on the back wasn’t so small—if I had to order it over again I would’ve inquired as to whether the words could be enlarged so it filled up more of the “white space” on the back
