emo

Emo stands for Emotive Hardcore. It's not the clothes, or the people. It's the music. You can't dress 'emo' and become 'emo' You can't be a music style. And if your trying, stop now. Emotive hardcore was first experimented after the punk era, with bands deciding to focus on a more emotional side. Emotive hardcore, shows emotion, but so does alot of rap and classical music. People who 'cut' aren't neccessarily 'emo'. Imagine this. We like to relate to things. To books, to life, to music. So If you have emotional feelings, bad past experiences, you relate to songs that are about that (Emotive Hardcore), Thats why emos are called depressed, because alot of people see meaning in the lyrics and can relate. So 'emo's' aren't the happiest bunch. But logically, 'emo's' don't exist.

Emotive hardcore -> 'softer' music created following the punk era.

emo

the stupidest "culture" you'll ever come across. it consists of trashy 12 and 13 year olds who hate their life because they think it looks cool. they often wear wristbands to cover up the "cuts" they've created on their wrists... with a butter knife. often found with headphones in their ears, playing distasteful music such as my chemical romance and cobra starship. heavy eyeliner. thick rimmed glasses. hot topic frequent buyer card. refer to the song "emo kid" by adam and andrew for further stereotypical description.

the world is really really over it's whole "emo faze." it's time to look up and start appreciating the life you were given.

emo

A label coined by the media to define a new soft core punk rock tendency and its followers. Even when false, it is nowadays used to define a new teenage generation with dense emotional interface. Very soon they found themselves antagonized and unaccepted by many groups and creeds. A curious phenomenon given the fact that they are mostly concerned with their own matters and pose no threat to anyone else. Much like the hippies in the sixties, who also suffered heavy discrimination despites their peaceful and non-violent tendency, emos have borrowed only more notoriety from the criticism and developed into a modern era phenomenon.

Josh: People in school are saying Peter is emo... Gary: Thats so gay. Josh: Tell me about it. Did you buy tickets for the next show of Monstertruck Madness? Gary: Sure did. I never miss the chance to see fuel burning and metal grinding. Josh: Now THATS something manly... poor Peter. Gary: ... poor Peter.
