A get together where people gather in a physical space to make and share copies of any kinds of media like books, music, movies, software and more. The internet making downloading large files accessible has fazed out copy parties for the most part but some may argue that they're needed more then ever now that people aren't getting together, anti consumer moves from big companies is encouraging piracy, public domain content is under attack by false DMCA take downs and sharing large libraries of content over the internet is not an option for a lot of people.
