The Coalition of Independent Pancake Distributors. The CIPD is a coalition of restaurants and other eateries that specialize in breakfast foods, and pancakes in particular. The coalition's biggest enemies are the corporate breakfast chains (IHOP, Waffle House, etc.) who are driving the smaller establishments out of business. Established in 2007, the CIPD's main focus is to promote awareness of it's members, and keep their businesses alive. The CIPD believes that the quality of food and service provided by it's members, far exceeds that of their corporate counterparts.
