Pronounced "shuug-new", the origin of this word lies in the ancient French distric of Rivetia. This particular district was famous for the large percentage of stunningly beautiful women living there. In an almost mythical trance, the only sound males could make when seeing one of these women was "shuug-new" - and thus, a word was born. This word is now widely used (although the pronounciation has been bastardised), for instance TV shows such as The OC, One Tree Hill, Joe Millionaire and even Hey Hey it's Saturday have used the term.
