A lesbian that's close to the center, maybe slightly on the femme side, of the femme-butch spectrum. A lesbian on the butch side of center, might be more accurately considered a soft butch. A very typical look is shoulder-length hair with a mens-fit tshirt, jeans, and Timbs/Doc Martens/Vans. They might wear no makeup at all or they might do some combination of foundation/mascara/concealer. They wouldn't usually do a full eyeshadow/eyeliner/falsh lashes/lipstick situation. Alternatively, chapsticks might lean towards athletic clothing like sports bras, basketball shorts, and muscle tanks. Formally, they might wear a suit jacket over a more feminine shirt or a women's fit button up rather than a suit or a dress. Other typical chapstick clothing items include looser-fit jean jackets, leather jackets, flannels, collared shirts, beanies, and baseball caps worn forwards or backwards. Your description is right on, except in 1989 I named my daughter Kallen Mikel (www.kallenmikel.com/original-art). I thought I made up the name, but apparently, it originated as a boy's name in Greek and Hebrew. I first found this out in 2001 when I was traveling to Finland. In the 'tube food' section in a big Finnish supermarket there it was, a royal blue tube of salmon paste with a blonde-haired boy named Kallen! So now I have discovered that there are many Kallen's of both sexes. I want to buy her a cup, but it has 'him' on it. Is there any way you can make that a unisex description for both sexes? Just askin'. Being a Barbara (Barbs) myself ... a 'cake eater' from Edina, MN I had to ask ... haha ;-)
