Camel Toad Mug
The Camel Toad (incilius camelus) is a toad species found in the Great Plains region of The United States. It is well known for its ability to exude toxins from glands within its skin that have psychoactive properties. Contemporary reports indicate that cameltenin-containing toad toxins have been used as a street drug; that is, as a supposed aphrodisiac, ingested orally in the form of ch’an su, and as a psychedelic, by smoking or orally ingesting Camel Toad secretion or dried skins. During hot and dry weather, Camel Toads will seek out water and can often be found at local rivers and pools.
