Def 1. The worst place on earth, sometimes defined as the entrance to the Devil's kingdom, and sometimes the literal hell. Nothing that gets into Borås will ever return as they were. The few people that have actually escaped are unrecognisable, in some cases the body is completely destroyed (aka they're dead), and in some very lucky(or unfortunate, depending on how you see it) cases they've been traumatized with absolutely zero hope in ever recovering. If an object has gone to Borås, it will be returned not working/broken/will never be able to use. A product created in Borås is defective. Def. 2 An adjective to describe an object or a person. Basically a synonym to bad. The word implies that the person or thing in question have been created in/been to Borås, and therefore is of bad quality.

This cute mug reminded me of a quote from an obscure biography I found quite by accident in a tiny hole-in-the-wall 2nd hand shop in Portland, ME in 1987: 'The Life and Times of Lazarus of Bethany'.
