Skilled heavy manual labor, like hot tar roofing. Unskilled widget assembly line work, or skilled custom heavy manufacturing, or any support roles for these things. Wages range from disgustingly low to disgustingly high. Normally a blue collar worker's worth is directly related to what and how obscure his skills are. How in demand his skills are. And how unpleasant and dirty the work is that these workskills need applied. An electrician gets paid a lot more than a landscaper.
