In contemporary subculture Emo is utilized as a broad term used to describe sensitive people who like emo music. Often "emos" have a certain fashion sense. Usually rock an "emo" hair cut ( dyed black, straightened and in their face) lots of tight clothing, and black eyeliner. Emo fashion is really quite varied and not limited to Hot Topic. They also pride themselves on being in touch with their emotions and creativity. Many write music or poetry.
