Big Daddy is a term for the alpha male of the group. You don't do anything without his permission. If he says the word, your girl is his girl. If Big Daddy insults you, you thank him, if he's at the function, you don't leave until he says so. You don't eat until he says so. You don't drink until he says so. If you wanna get down with your girl, you ask him for permission first.
