an Anhimmler is a person deeply in love with a historical figure. Anhimmler often practice quirky rituals to express their love, like writing daily prayers dedicated to their love. They often fill journals full of messages to their love, in hopes they will be able to read them im the afterlife. They're often very dedicated and creative people, but their eternal longing for someone that is separated from them by time itself makes them complex and damaged. The term stems from the german word for "admirer" or "worshipper". The definition of someone who's in love with someone from the past, stems from the Anhimmler himself. He called himself the Anhimmler as a pun on the name Heinrich Himmler, his personal historical dearest.

This cute mug reminded me of a quote from an obscure biography I found quite by accident in a tiny hole-in-the-wall 2nd hand shop in Portland, ME in 1987: 'The Life and Times of Lazarus of Bethany'. Quote: " We are all walking wounded held together by the scars of our forbearance and the charity of our sisters and brothers." Truer words have never been said.
